Ironmongery Warehouse Africa designs and manufactures special pull handles.

In 2017 Ironmongery Warehouse Africa was appointed to supply the Ironmongery for the Fourways Mall refurbishment (now the second-largest shopping mall in South Africa).Within our scope of work, provided by Hennie Coetzee (Director, Boogertman + Partners), Ironmongery Warehouse Africa was tasked with the responsibility of designing and manufacturing a pull handle for the shopfront doors that would:

Be robust
Provide a unique look that is aesthetically pleasing.
Remain timeless within the design features of the newly designed Fourways Mall.

Together with Hennie’s vision, Ironmongery Warehouse Africa designed, and custom made 900mm long Black and Stainless Steel, Straight and Offset Pull Handles for the Shop Entrance Aluminium and Frameless Glass Doors.

Main Design Features:

The centre of the handle is where everybody touches. It, therefore, needed to be hygienic, easy to clean, and withstand high traffic use. It was thus determined that the 304-grade Stainless Steel section was best suited to achieve this requirement.
To ensure the desired unique aesthetic appeal, the top and bottom sections of the Pull Handle and posts were powder coated black.

The 900mm(long)*32mm(diameter) black and stainless-steel pull handle provides an aesthetic “minimalist unique sleekness” to these doors.

This collaboration of great ideas and our custom-made innovation allowed us to successfully complete the perfect solution for the Fourways Mall refurbishment.

Note: The 304 Stainless Steel is an easy material to keep clean with the various sanitizers.

Ironmongery Warehouse Africa can manufacture straight and offset pull handles up to 3 meters in length. The posts of these handles can be either round, oval, or square in shape.

Various finishes are available through the process of powder coating or electroplating the final product.

Delivery is approximately 4-6 weeks exiting our Johannesburg showroom.
